Young kids can be so sick minded towards these subjects. It's a testimony to her strength that she's still here and fighting after everything that happened to her.
The part about her parents reminds me of the Pakistani guy who told me he was raped by his cousin and his cousin's friends when he was a kid. He told his parents and they wanted to pretend it didn't happen.
Yeah minorities families like to brush off sexual abuse and rapes like 'get over it, is in the past, lets keep it a secret' mentality. We need more minorities like her to speak up and break that taboo.
