Clingy friends tend to be loyal so I would rather have someone like that than opportunistic bitches that are only there when things are great, but would desert you in a heartbeat when the going gets tough.
I would rather have the first type of friends. Ass kissers and clingers don't let you grow as a person and are annoying. Interacting with opportunistic "friends" on the other hand eventually makes you realize who are truly worth your friendship and time.
