You have to consider the market size and population. There's at least a 100 million difference in population size between Brazil and US.
Market size and economic status plays a difference too. E.g. Malaysia and Australia has the same population size (regardless of country size) but Platinum in Australia is 70,000 and Platinum in Malaysia is only 10,000.
