Drumroll, please! Here are your winners for MTV’s Homecoming King and Queen: Selena Gomez and Zayn Malik!
It was a fight to the finish on the kings side, with Zayn getting 116,000 votes, narrowly beating out Dylan O’Brien, who had 115,000. Also in the running were Zayn’s former band, One Direction, and Dylan’s “Teen Wolf” costar, Tyler Posey.
As for the ladies, Selena took the crown from last year’s winner (and her BFF), Demi Lovato, beating out her runner-up, Cara Delevingne, by 1,000 votes — proving that Selenators were in it to win it. Rounding out the top four queens were Emma Watson and girl group Fifth Harmony.
