No. The show would only work if they had similar judges in the stature of Mary Berry and Paul. Bring in Martha Stewart and Duff Goldman or something and have a good enough host.

I don't see it ever working in the US though, beyond the original being aired there.

The appeal of the British shows is the people just as much as it is the show. British people are just more entertaining to watch.

I've seen this when I was overseas..and no. English food is despicable and made me angry.

Angry? You don't have to eat it.

Not even sure what "English" food is. Our food derives from many places, from all kinds of people. Post-war immigration..

I still to this day have to remind the ignorant in my own country that our favourite dish is a curry. Like..? That's not ours.
