It's weird how society just kind of erased the Black Eyed Peas after they ****ed up at the Super Bowl. All of their first 3 eras were completely monstrous, especially The E.N.D.
Half of an entire year @ #1 on the Hot 100, 10 million+ copies of the album sold, all-time best selling digital single, every single date of their tour sold out, etc. Their last album didn't even tank that hard; it sold like 3 million and had 2 Top 5 hits off of it, yet the public just smeared white out over their career.

Pre-orders aren't everything though, wasn't ARTPOP apparently pre-ordered way more than Prism and Bangerz? 1D will get the number one but I think Bieber will sell more overall
BEP members realized after the superbowl that they had made enough money and they wanted to relax and enjoy what they made. Except Will.I.Am who decided to embarrass himself with his solo career. Scream & Shout was enough for him.
So 1D did like +80k pre-orders in one day.
