I can't help but notice that nowadays, if anybody, whether it be a celebrity or a normal person, tries to crack a joke that's slightly (and when I say slightly, I mean like BARELY) offensive, a lot of people on social media put on their SJW cloaks and attack them for being racist, sexist, transphobic, homophobic, skinny-shaming, fat-shaming, etc. the list goes on and on.

Like, back in the '00s, "Yo Mama" jokes were pretty popular, but if anybody tried to crack one of those today, the fumes would go off.

Is the youth of today too sensitive? Do they need to get a sense of humor and lighten up a little? I'm 18 so I am definitely a part of today's youth, but I just feel like nobody has a funny bone in their body anymore. I mean, even on this forum, you try to say one little witty comment and 2 seconds later you get a warning post.

A lot has changed in the last ten years, for better and for worse.

Watching Summer Heights High on YouTube earlier made me question whether it'd be acceptable in today's society and whether Ofcom would issue the program to be removed from the BBC, as did I have the same thoughts about Little Britain.

Both could be considered offensive in this day and age, when just ten years ago, it was comedy (SHH aired 4 years later).

I think it's a yes and no answer. Some people are really sensitive to the slightest comment yet they are others to that will dig their nails in your esteem and call it constructive criticism.
