She's obviously being advised on the number by her lawyers so don't blame it all on her. I understand if they feel that you can't put a price on privacy but $75 million is a ridiculous amount that no judge is even going to consider. She should have tried for $1 million at most.

You're minimizing the severity of this. It's not just about privacy. They put her life in danger by disclosing that info. She's lucky that all that guy did was peep at her and record video.

Your straw argument is irrelevant, because it doesn't matter that anyone can allegedly harm her anywhere. What matters in this lawsuit is that the hotel staff at the Marriott disclosed information that violated Erin's safety as well as her privacy. The Marriott is at fault, and now it's just a matter of how much they will have to pay in damages.

It's the concept that her safety was in danger when the hotel was being negligent.

This guy did this to her at another hotel in a different state than this Marriott, and I believe Erin's either suing them too for the same reason, or they already settled.

Had Andrews been stabbed, shot, killed, etc. by this guy that night, I doubt you or anyone else would be questioning my assertion that the hotel jeopardized her safety or trying to minimize her stalker’s behavior as mere “bad conduct.”

I am not a big fan of her and while I think $75 million is a bit high, the Marriott were wrong. The settlement amount will probably be reduced (idk if it is a thing to highball it initially). They can't give out her information like that, they are lucky that this stalker had not attacked her. Who lets someone know that a celebrity is staying with them, which room they are in , AND lets them book a room next door.

I f I was her I would be angry and terrified. I would probably get paranoid staying at other hotels.
