Welcome to the very first season of Inside Out! This game is inspired by one of the best animated movies of the 21st century of the same name. It’s fun, colorful and a major ‘emotion’ picture just like the movie.
A girl named Riley is born in Minnesota, and within her mind, five personifications of her core emotions—Joy, Sadness, Disgust, Fear, and Anger—come to life. The emotions live in Headquarters, Riley's conscious mind, where they influence Riley's actions and memories via a control console. Her new memories are housed in colored orbs, which are sent into storage at the end of every waking period. The most important or "core" memories are housed in a hub in Headquarters and power five "islands", each of which reflects a different aspect of Riley's personality.
When Riley is 11 years old, her family relocates to San Francisco after her father gets a new job. However, their new home is lifeless. Joy becomes concerned when Sadness begins touching happy memories. Sadness accidentally creates a sad core memory. Joy attempts to dispose of the new core memory before it reaches the central hub, but she accidentally knocks the other core memories loose in her struggle with Sadness, shutting down the personality islands and making them unstable. Before Joy can put them back, she, Sadness, and the core memories are sucked out of Headquarters through the memory tube leading to the rest of Riley's mind.
So YOU guys have been thrown out of the headquarters. Now you have to make teams of two (Joy & Sadness) and make your way through the 5 islands of personality, back to the headquarters to make Riley happy and to stop her from running away. The map you will have to follow and some information about each island is given below:
Each island will have 2 levels. The first level of each island will be a ‘Submission Task’ which will be judged by the 5 emotions (Joy, Sadness, Fear, Disgust & Anger). The second level of each island will be a LIVE mini-game. All of these will be loosely based on the five emotions so don’t worry if you haven’t seen the movie yet.
The Train of Thought will link the islands and mini games will be the last level of each island as they're (mostly) first come first serve basis so only those who get the memory balls will board the train.
On your way back you will also have to collect memory orbs. The winning team of each level will get 10 memory orbs, the runner-up will get 7, the second runner-up will get 5, the third runner-up will get 3 and every other team except the bottom 2* will get 1 orb. Remember to collect as many as possible!
The winning team will ALSO get a “core memory”. This core memory gives the winning team immunity and they can use this immunity if they’re ever in the elimination zone up to Level 6. Once the team uses immunity the core memory will turn blue and will be shot back to the headquarters. There are 5 of these up for grabs at the first 5 levels.
There will be 10 levels in total. So once I know how many teams are going to play the game I will decide the number of teams to be eliminated at each level.
