I disagree with you to an
extent, only because while I did and do think its pretty generically accessible especially with that Colby'O Donis a.k.a wannabe Akon verse. I think
Gaga came out on the bridge of the song, and also it wasnt like nearly everything that came out at the time. Pop radio was still dominated by Timbaland-esque urban production in 2008 albeit I guess with an electronic undercurrent. Whereas Gaga was
straight up pop star music. Which is partly why she became the phenom that she was, she made straight up pop cool again. She was different yet still generically accessible. Thats what set her apart. Like her or not. And I think Just Dance had just enough of an urban inflection to get on pop radio while still being obviously pop/electronic and
still being Gaga enough.
