Applause is such a good song, holy ****. It's so bright and shiny yet has this slight ominous undertone. The fact that the verse lyrics are absolutely ridiculous and the rest of them is just Gaga screaming that she loves for people to praise her and still managed to be a respectable hit is kinda incredible when you think about it.

And she finally managed to recapture a good chorus melody and the lyrics are unintelligible.
