Just watched the first episode last night and it was the most uncomfortable thing I've seen in a while, not even including GaGa's awkward performance.

I was so slayed by the planet correlations with their names. We had drawing books with Sailor Moon and I remember once I was so mad cause we had a figurine with Jupiter and he gave it to this bitch, her name was MIMI , because he liked her and I was so mad. Anyway, yes, I loved the presentation, I definitely got a lot of reasons about why it's important and essential to you. but STOP TALKING ABOUT KITT'S ****.

I love the idea of girl power so I can totally see why that was appealing to you, but what I liked about your entry was that you were very detailed in the specific aspects of the show you enjoyed which made it actually believable that this anime had such an impact on your childhood/life. The inclusion of a little anecdote added to that since you described a specific moment that you still remember so vividly from your experience with the show. Only problem was that despite my liking for detail, I felt you could have cut out the less important details as DOM did only want like a healthy sized paragraph this round. I did have to deduct a point for that reason. Still, good work!

You had a clear and simple reasoning for why you liked the show and also related it back to your relationship with your own mother which worked in your favor. We really only have so many moments to share with our parents and even though I have taken that for granted in my life, I'm coming to terms with that idea so that was a nice reflection on life in general. The bad part about this entry wasn't really you at all. You didn't explicitly do anything wrong this round. You just didn't stand out which is so weird considering you were a total highlight of your original season. This was solid but i do want to go back to those times where I was insanely jealous of your entries because you do have this way of being both pithy and productive. That's my main advice for you going into next round, umich.

The entry is quite lackluster tho, for one that have never seen the show I'm left with a sour taste in my mouth. You just told us that the show represents a huge part of your childhood yet you don't really give a reason why. I know, and I believe you that it is, but as a big part of that time of your life there has to be some memories or some feelings towards it, something that it would stick out from your entry. I know the requirement is a paragraph but if you're going to do one, and a short one, please give us the essential in it.

However when it comes to this entry, I'm not a fan. You really didn't explain why you like this show at all; not even to the extent of "it was funny" or something along the lines of that. I know not everyone has this tight bond with a childhood cartoon but as bad as it sounds, you could have lied. Or you could have given a less emotional reason as to why you love the Rugrats because there was a good example of an emotionally unattached favorite cartoon submitted this round. Maybe you were busy this round but it just really felt like you didn't truly try to tackle this task. Did you see that alliteration in that sentence? Yeah. I did that. Anyway... if you're here next round, I'm going to need to see you give more of an effort because I know you're capable of great entries just from my experience with you on Survivor.

I really like the look of the anime from your entry, it looks nice. What I love is that you gave the reason for why this holds such a special place in your heart, that being the fact that it got you into this type of animations. That's great, so this show would be like a starting point for a certain something in your life.

It was less of an emotional attachment and more of an appreciation for the actual art form which is absolutely fine. Not everyone has that type of personality where a cartoon or anime is going to have this life altering effect on how they live their live or whatever. Your enjoyment of the show may be rather simple but it felt a whole lot more genuine that other entries that seemed to reach on how much the show actually affected them. This is also one of the first times I've seen you completely describe your reasoning so it's a general improvement in your ability to argue your case. Not amazing but a very solid entry Guero.

Every paragraph is beautifully written and full of meaning and for a mostly messy member on ATRL this showed another side of yours and I love that.

You know I can also relate to the whole toy buy situation you described and the funniest part is I literally had a time in my life where I was told to put down this Ariel play doh set thing for like a Star Wars action figure and I find it so ridiculous now that I'm grown up. Aside from my personal relation, you stood out to me because you took the general life lesson route that others did and expanded it to this whole idea of finding your own identity in the process of Ariel's journey. Specific description among elevated reasoning makes this another job well done for you Drip. Problem is you needed to do at most one long paragraph which you definitely ignored. I had to take off one point for that reason. Others were detailed and pithy so I know you could have been the same.

It's a nice entry but am I wrong for wanting more? You could've done a lot more with it. Still tho, I'm glad you actually mentioned that the parental bond reminded you of yours. That's beautiful but when you said I won't go in details it kinda hurt me, I definitely wanted a bit more there. The value of family, that's definitely the first thing to learn from this movie, and I'm glad it did that to you.

This was your chance to make up for your last bottom two experience and I felt like you didn't really manage to do that. Last time, your main problem was you lacked details which I think some of the judges including myself noted (?). This round, you turn around and really do the same thing again where your premise is solid but your execution just isn't there. I understand Dom didn't want five paragraphs this round but some specific details on why this cartoon has a special place in your heart were needed. You did say it has something to do with the father-son relationship present in the film but I think you needed to open up and elaborate a bit on that for a better score this round. Your reasoning was fine and similar to others this round in the sense of life lessons and all that jazz, but you left out details that others had. That's really what's bogging you down in this competition when it comes to writing. Next time, be specific. You're certainly capable of a better entry Urban.

Okay, I actually got goosebumps, your entry took a turn I would have never expected. You're such a good writer, Citrus, please do something with it if you have the possibility. You gave us such a great reason for why this was important to you and it's really moving and it actually had a big impact in your life during that part of your life.

There's nothing wrong with life lessons but when there's 6 people saying variations of the same thing this round, a different answer will stand out good or bad. The show served as a distraction from normal life which I find to be entirely true and a lot more genuine than some entries. Cartoons and other kiddie shows always have that light at the end of the tunnel that most real life situations don't have, giving everyone a chance to escape and just enjoy a little lighthearted fun. Nice job, Citrus.

It was a beautiful entry and please keep on doing this, I'm sure your nephew will look back at these moments with a lot of love.

You used Mickey to escape potential loneliness you could have felt as a child by simply enjoying some casual cartoon time. Now, you're reflecting back on that enjoyment with your nephew which is super cute in general but also a nice example of how the show still has significance in your more mature life. My only issue with your entry was that choosing something so broad made it difficult for you to mention specific cartoons, but that was minimal in the end. One of the better entries this round!

That was all good and maybe it's the fact you're still "young"" (vomit at me saying this to anyone) but that aspect made your entry seem a little more genuine than others who went this route. I thought that the main weakness in this entry was when you said you "kind of" relate to the main character. You shouldn't kind of relate to the main character. You should definitely relate to the main character since that was your whole point as to why you like the anime so much. Honestly, just never say "kind of" in anything you write in life Jorge because it's usually best to take a strong stance on something than take the middle of the road route. Other than that, your entry was solid and believable Jorge so good job on this one.

I felt like your whole entry could have been much better than it was in all honesty. You hit all the marks of this round but only just enough to slide you by in my opinion. You selected a cartoon and gave some reasoning to it which was enough to make your entry decent but not enough to put you above others this round. What lacked in this entry was specific detail about the cartoon that you can relate back to yourself. You mention a father-son relationship in your paragraph but I'm not sure whether that hits a cord or whether its the other mature themes you didn't specifically mention that do such a thing. I know there was only one paragraph to do this in which constrained you guys a bit but there were some fine examples of both concise and specific this round. You just returned to the game so I'd hate to see this round dig you another grave but it was one of the weaker entries this round. Maybe the other judges will disagree but that's my take on everything. Not bad but just not good enough.
