Mostly likely not.
It's Rihanna and she's done a lot of promotion for her music this year, even if she's made people wait for the full album.

She won't underperform on metacritics and that's what truly matters #Music #NotTheBling

The fact that she's trying so hard to be "artistic" makes me think she's going to flop. Hopefully, the music isn't boring and she proves me wrong.

Well....with her last albums, she's had MEGA hits before release and never really had HUGE opening numbers first week.
I think streaming will work very much in her favor though.

I think that she is going to sell a lot less overtime with a "surprise release" then a traditional campaign.
On first week, she doesn't have a massive single before release so it may 'underperform' with many defending that due to the sales climate

she's waited long enough and built enough hype up to where it will do good numbers.

She has hype? I don't ever hear anyone talking about the album.

If it's not glamorous, basic, made-for-children music, ATRL immediately thinks it will flop.
