MM have some cute bops but more lows than standout tracks.
Four is so damn boring.
DMD and Infinity sounds boring to me too and i'm not looking forward to this new record, unfourtunately.

TMH is easily their best album, but I think Four>>>>MM. They've been bored with it since like 2013 though. There's no effort from any of them, and they all started to look and sound terrible after MM. That's probably a huge reason Zayn left. Their music has always been generic and uninspired and there's only so long you can have fun with being famous and rich, and selling albums purely on fandom and personality. They all seem over it, and the fans are outgrowing them as well.

They decline after each era imo. as the years go on they care less and less about their careers... like they wrote an entire album in a month.

Or maybe it's because you've never listened to any of their albums. Half of the songs on Up All Night are Europop-dance and none of the songs on their next albums sound like that. Only their lead singles sound quite similar but you can't say the same about the albums. Four and Midnight Memories sound NOTHING like Up All Night (Pop/Europop) and Take Me Home (Pop/Rock).
