So I HAVE to talk about Music Wars, this game that ran my entire day off
So first I signed this talented young lady and got her two smash singles and a #2 album
Then she decided to dump me for another label
She hasn't released new material since she left me
Then I signed my girl Zara. Not as talented, but hard-working and creative and possessing a great attitude
Her first album was a local success, platinum in the United States with four Top 5 singles. The second album had five Top 3 singles including two #1s, and sold 2 million in the US and Canada
Then the third album came
Four of its five singles went to #1, and it sold 5 million in the US
I spent all of 2012 promoting it in the US and Canada, while lowkey building her a following in the UK, Europe, Japan and Australia
Then I released it in early 2013 in those territories with the three biggest hits as new international singles
They all smashed and the album sold another 4 million in those regions.
The fourth album
I coordinated a global release strategy for the holiday season. All six singles went to #1 in the US, the album sold 10 million globally, and is about to snatch some other bitch's weave for the top selling record of all time
It's been a productive day.
