No need to get abrasive with people who buy systems for the games and not the eye candy.
Also the rising in price logic is screwy at best. Retailers don't do that, people do that.
PSP games devalued because there was no consistent demand.
Highest selling DS game? 31m+ NSMB. Highest selling PSP game? 5ish million Monster Hunter P3rd.

You said some people don't think long term regarding price, which is my statement of people needing to think logically.
And no one is saying DS games were bad. Look at the OP, I make that very clear. They COULD have been much better though, all that would have needed to change was the resolution that Nintendo doesn't care about.
And it IS true. A link I posted before shows that Super Mario 64 DS went from $30 to $40. And so did Pokemon etc. Nintendo launch games for slightly cheaper and raise the price to an "indefinite" RRP.
PSP devalued due to Sony's Platinum system, which reduced any game to $19.99 and other games that didn't go Platinum had to follow suit to be successful. That was the same with the PS2 as well.
And the DS's best selling non-first party game sold around 5 million. Nintendo were at their peak during the DS/Wii era. Sony ignored a lot of their first party franchises in the PS2/PSP era, which was a mistake on their behalf. They barely promo'd anything. It was only until the PS3 era which Sony started making big deals on first party games again.
