"The Leftovers" season two premiere episode, "Axis Mundi." Thoughts?

I think the first 10 minutes were very surreal. I like the character development. They seem to still be going for what I'd like to call "the cinematic dissertation on grief" route, which I appreciate. The second episode is even better. It was just divine. Nobody's okay.

The first episode was definitely better than the second episode.
But the writer's used all of their source material from the book in season one.
So every season afterward is coming from their heads. I hope they can keep it up.

Oh, Damon sure can. But the second episode was better in my opinion. Maybe that's because I love Nora and The Garveys so much.
Jennifer Lawrence isn't campaigning and rumors are going around that Joy is a mess. She's a lock for the nom though. There kinda isn't a frontrunner for Best Actress at the moment but if you had to say someone, I'd say Brie.
