I would say "Awake" with Jessica Alba and Hayden Christensen.

It's not a horror movie per se but it's one of the most horrible things that could happen to you. He needs a heart replacement, goes into the surgery but the anesthesia only numbs his body, not his mind so he hears and feels everything that's going on in the process of getting a heart transplant but can't do anything about it.

Watching Misery and I THINK I might just analyse this movie!

i was hoping that by now, AHS would do a physiological horror season.

I watched a spanish film about this family where the mother allegedly murdered her own kids and husband inside their home the after 30 years she was given a parole but the condition is that she has to go back and live to that same house again. It's a mind****.

I think this was loosely based on a true story about a guy who had to undergo an operation in his abdomen then the doctors gave him a paralysis medicine but forgot the anesthesia, so the whole time they were slicing his stomach open he's very much conscious although unable to move, he felt all the pain and he was traumatized to the point where he killed himself

yeah, give the tenant a chance. it's unnerving, unsettling with a good amount of weirdness and WTFs, and it's also great to analyze because there is a lot of psychological depth to discover.

and i love the cell recommendation. it really is such an underrated movie.

There's a movie I saw last weekend, I'll try and remember the name. It was about a mirror that caused you to go insane and wouldn't allow you to just destroy it or whatever (it's really good I'm just too lazy to type a decent synopsis)

Do the Saw series count, well imparticular the 1-2-3... since everything after that was just gore, no substance?

OMG, this kinda sounds like one of my surgeries last year...I think they gave me lighter anasthesia and to this day I remember what was going through my mind I believe around the end of the surgery thinking I'm dying and just seeing all sorts of weird things which never really happened in any of my previous ones...truly the worst experience ever...I would really like to watch the movie but I don't know if I can cope as this is true horror to me...
