Huma Abedin rekindles her relationship with Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour next month — only this time, the chic duo will meet in Paris, hosting a cocktail fundraiser for Abedin’s boss, Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton.
One thousand dollars buys entry to "An Evening with Huma Abedin and Anna Wintour" on Oct. 4, according to the invitation obtained by KGB File, at the Paris home of James Cook, an American-born financial businessman dubbed "the father of the Russian mortgage" by Passport Magazine, a publication for expats in Russia. For $2,700, the maximum personal donation, a guest may attend the event and become a member of Clinton's Abroad Regional Finance Committee.

Abedin and Wintour’s friendship goes back several years, beginning with the Clinton adviser’s first multi-page Vogue spread, titled “Hillary’s Secret Weapon,” in 2007. In 2010, Wintour’s fashion bible included a photo of a glowing Abedin in her custom Oscar de la Renta wedding gown; Abedin wed Anthony Weiner, then a respectable member of Congress, at New York’s Oheka Castle.
The upcoming Paris event isn’t Wintour’s first public championing of Clinton’s presidential campaign; in late August, she introduced Clinton at a swank private fundraiser held at the 15-acre Hamptons estate of fashion heavyweight Tory Burch.
