When you think of Christianity/ Christians are your thoughts generally good or generally bad.

generally pretty terrible people from the ones I know.

I can count the amount of Christian friends I have on a single hand. They're generally very racist, anti-Muslim and anti-Atheist where I am.

Even though i was raised as a muslim, i am mostly neutral about christians of this age. But christianity 500 years ago...

Christianity is awesome. Christ was a progressist, a people-loving leftist. Exactly the opposite of Christians nowadays. I guess they don't read the bible.

bad cuz i feel like it brainwashes weak minded people who are afraid of death and don't understand life into behaving like what christians deem as 'good people' and subconsciously encourages people into suicide too

Generally good. I go to a catholic school, and all my friends are christian and I have yet to here any thing offensive from the people around me. Literally no one mentions muslims and we have a handful of muslim students attending the school. Not sure about their thoughts on LGBT, I know we had a transgender student and openly gay students last year and this year. Maybe because I live in Canada?

Generally Good Thoughts. I worship God not the men.

They're generally good people who don't kill others for being different.

It's a religion so bad.

I take a religion class in school and we're forced to read the bible. So far i've read Genesis, Exodus, and some other parts of Leviticus, Ephesians

It was surprising to me how much God loves killing people.
He tells the Israelites to go to war and murder everyone in the opposing nations.
Then he also kills some of the Israelites when they complain about him in the desert
Then in one passage God kills a baby as a punishment for his parents adultery (David and Bathsheba)
He also told Abraham to kill his son as a test to see how faithful he is, and he also tried to kill Moses.
Then there's all the ridiculous laws that people can be put to death for.

In our last class we read Ephesians where it says wives should submit themselves to their husbands, and that slaves should obey their masters.

I wonder what heinous things we'll learn about next.

Christianity is the reason why western civilization exists in the first place. The fall of the Roman Empire would have also been the end of the western civilization which would have most likely merged with the Islamic world if not for the one single force which was exclusively responsible for building, unifying, civilizing and moulding the civilization from scratch. It was Christianity, the Catholic Church in particular, that did not only bring order in a very disorganized and chaotic society, It protected and defended Europe from Muslim and barbarian invasions, established moral law, defeated heresies, funded and supported the arts and sciences, preserved literature, fostered medical care, started universities, invented charity, codified and improved western law, helped end slavery, infanticide, human sacrifice and other barbaric practices. It was in the Middle Ages when the Catholic Church did its greatest effort in CIVILIZING Europe. Had it not succeeded in combating heresies, Europe would have relapsed into paganism and the greater barbarism that was going on for millenia before Europe was christianized would have continued. Christianity provided the best moral framework for western civilization which was instrumental in the flourishing of the arts and sciences.

Terrible things have been done by Christians in the past. No one denies this. And the church often fell short of its ideals but its ideals were indisputably a great advance for humanity.
