Airplay just happens to be the only stable component that has always been with the hot 100. It's also the songs most people hear so it should definitely count. And do you have any proof whatsoever that it would be inaccurate? I think streaming is way more inaccurate. And nobody could come with their own hot 100 without all the numbers
