FKA is much, much more talented than Aaliyah though (except for acting probably). Twigs writes & produces her own music. I like Aaliyah but she just had great taste when it came to selecting songs and her whole aesthetic

Aaliyah is an icon for sure but the actual work Twigs has put out is far more self involved and frankly higher quality.

No she's not, but im glad to see that Aaliyah has isnpired so many great artists.
Btw it's unfair to say that Aaliyah isn't as talented as her just because she has no writing or producing credits.
Aaliyah was heavenly involved with the process of her music but she was still learning how to write and produce. She's not one those artists that write one word and take all the credit.
