A cop accidentally shot a four-year-old girl while responding to an incident inside her home.
Her mother, Andrea Ellis, had cut her arm on some glass in her house near Columbus, Ohio, and her sister called 911 for help.
By coincidence, a cop on a routine call happened to be on the block. She called out to him for help.
"Sir, can you get me a paramedic?! I need a paramedic here!” she said.
But as the cop approached the house, events took a horrific turn. Cops said the family pet - a boxer-terrier mix named Patches, charged at the officer.
The cop fired his gun, and the bullet hit Andrea's four-year-old daughter, Ava, in the leg, shattering the bone. "She asked me several times, 'Mommy, am I gonna die?'"
Oh my God, I'm so happy she lived. This is why I am so anti gun. How could anyone live with themself after accidentally wounding a child? Send the pig to slaughter!!!!!

He probably just wanted to scare the dog off, shot the gun at a random direction, accidentally pointing it towards the kid's leg. Still pretty stupid though.
this is close to where I live :/
cops are so trigger happy these days, there was no reason to start blindly shooting around someone's home. And I'm assuming the dog is still alive since they didn't mention anything about it, so how the **** did he miss a dog that was "charging" at him and hit a little girl instead? This guy should be investigated for negligence
