FF had a #1 debut hit, a #1 song in the era (alhough it wasn't a FF single), a top 3 hit and a top 10 hit.
It debuted at #1 ranking her as having #1 albums and singles in 3 different decades.
This is not a flop or considered a flop. that era garnered her the Michael Jackson not the Janet Jackson video vanguard award.
there's a difference between an underperformance and a certified flop. A.k.a the difference between platinum FF and flop BJ.



It's interesting how Janet's first two albums tanked before the Thriller era was finished and complete and then after Thriller ended it's era...
