The first had offshore "talent" which it eventually got rid of because of the lack of quality in the service they were providing along with the aforementioned problems with offshoring I already mentioned. Now they have over a million paying subscribers as well as hundreds of millions of others who view their website and apps each month.
The latter has kept their offshore "talent" and have struggled to make any money at all and have yet to turn a profit and threaten the very existence of the company at all. They are lucky to get more than a few million unique visitors in a month and none of their mobile apps have taken off either.
