Show boss Simon Cowell was the first to find out which category X Factor viewers had voted to have him mentor, which was the Overs, and his upset over it was evident as he swore and insisted that Caroline and Olly check that there hadn’t been some mistake…
Not surprisingly, the singers in the Overs category watched on with dismay as Simon made it very clear that he wasn’t at all happy, and he even mouthed, “I’m so pi**ed off” as he took his seat at the judges’ desk.
However, he later apologised to viewers for swearing and he said sorry to his Overs singers for what they took to be his lack of faith that one of them has the potential to win this year…
So it’s likely to come as a further blow to the Overs that Now magazine reports that Simon has stated that he thinks Girls category singer – who’s being mentored by new judge Rita Ora –
Louisa Johnson
has the best chance of winning the show.
As mentioned, we would imagine that’s going to be another blow to the Overs category finalists, and it’s all rather surprising given that last year, Simon was scathing over how Louis Walsh seemingly had no faith whatsoever in boy band Stereo Kicks…
Simon repeatedly berated Louis for what he described as his lack of “commitment” to the group – which was formed at last year’s Boot Camp – and made no secret of his opinion that Louis was condemning the band to failure in his own lack of belief in them. Yet if the report on Now is correct, then Simon’s doing the self-same thing surely?
But of course, we should keep in mind that quotes can and are often taken out of context, because while Simon is known for his honesty when it comes to X Factor contestants, he’s also known to be fiercely loyal to, and 100% committed to, those he’s working with.

I mean, they are definitely going to push her and try to make her win, but I'm pretty sure the GP will get bored of ha repetitive performances.
I think she'll win tbh.
Simon predicted the same thing about Carrie Underwood when she was on idol and yet people said she was boring and gave the same performance over and over.
My only issue with this season is that Filipino girl group was obvi planted. Like everyone knows it, but they didn't even try to make it seem believable.

Louisa is exactly the kind of person who NEEDS to win this show. she's a teenager so she can have a long career ahead of her, and she's very likeable and marketable. the show could really use a young, fresh winner as opposed to these old boring flops who've won for the past 3-4 years and have no mainstream appeal

No one marketable has won in years and none of the winners have seen success. It's bad when my sixth place fave is doing better than the winners and runnerups.
This show is so staged.
