This bothers me You date somebody for a year, implying to them that you really care about them and that they mean a lot to you, but then you end it because after a year of trying to make them fit into a more masculine standard you end it because your manipulative way of pulling them out of femininity failed? Good riddance on their part I guess
I mean it is better for him because I don't want to waste anymore of his time, but he keeps begging to get back together because I'm in grad school on my way to a lucrative career and justin bieber aint got nothing on me I mean I treated him well and saved him from being homeless so at least there's that.
So I'm with this boy and he has the most basic style ever which is a shame because he's really cute. Is it ok if I just hide all of his freaking tracksuits and make him wear something nice for once? Do you try to change your partner and if yes what is the thing you usually try to change?
Encourage him to go shopping with you or be nice and go with him but don't force him to change his style for you. He has own needs and wants.

I just broke up with my boyfriend of over a year because he's into drag and he's a little fem but I saw some country boy in there so I would try to teach him how to fix his car and we'd go fishing and stuff like that. It didn't work.
You wanted to turn your fem boyfriend into a stereotypical fake straight guy with fishing and fixing cars ? Gosh you are messed up.
Yes, I kinda have with my BF Alex. He's gone from this big tough guy who lived in his gym clothes and didn't really display his emotions, to this big soft guy, who dresses up smart to take me out and has become so romantic and sweet, alongside the tough guy persona.
Also, I got him listening to Kesha at the gym the most important trait

Depends. If you don't like his style and he does, don't try to change it, it's stupid. If it's something else, like drugs, cigarettes, alcohol, whatever, you should definitely try to change him/her.
