It was a great time for pop culture, but the music was awful, dear Christ. Outside of the ATRL-standard pop girls (even within the hemisphere, it wasn't all that great), the charts were a disaster. It was nothing but crappy dance pop and run-of-the-mill club music day in and day out.

Charm School was a mess. Along with I Love New York and Flavor of Love. VH1 was really about the f*ckery. Reality TV was never more entertaining than those shows.

Does anyone remember that reality show Daisy of Love, the VH1 rip-off of its own show Rock of Love? It was reality TV at its trashiest, and I loved it so much.

Laguna Beach was so great. Kristin was the main reason I watched it.
