If anything Scream Queens numbers are impressive for a new show.

AHS is on its fifth iteration and has a very solid fanbase built in.

I know I only checked for Lady Gaga. Never watched the series before.

While you're right about their desperation you're totally wrong about TV shows. It doesn't work like that. For a new show to stay on air it has to be a success right out of the gate, otherwise the network will just cancel it and replace it with another new show.

The only reason why Scream Queens isn't a sure cancellation at this point is because Fox is struggling as a whole.

that's like saying it's more impressive for a CBS show to have more viewers than House Hunters or something

bottom line is AHS had 1.8 million more viewers on a cable network than a non-cable one
