That's quite common for those who suffer from mental illness. It's such a shame that so many individuals are stripped of a peaceful childhood due to psychological problems that normally aren't dealt with until much later in life.

I know she is doing a great thing talking about these topics and problems, she really is.

But oh hell, how I wish she'd be doing a kind of music that goes with it. I'm sorry I made fun of her in the past and I'm sorry I may do so in the future but in my opinion there is such a HUGE gap between the quality of her music and her personal struggles/her fight against stigmata, that I just keep on being annoyed.

At least if she would make an album inspired by her problems , it would be much better and would also give her more chances for being nominated at the Grammys than recording crap like Cool For The Summer and Confident and stripping herself down

Why people get so mad about her opening up? I never went trough what Demi did so I am no one to judge. Her speaking out is making a difference, she even went to Congress to talk about mental health.

Considering she's confident now, you may not get that type of music from her

The thing is that they don't complain if they don't win/get nominated for Grammy or that they will make Grammy-worthy music Demi herself complained about that , saying she'll do music for the Grammys yet she presents herself with her actual singles I'm not bothered by her doing generic songs or stripping down for magazines , but at least she can keep her word

Demi hasn't complained, she says she wants to get a Grammy nom someday. God forbids someone sets goals And since when only 'quality'/dark emotional music gets Grammy nominations? Call Me Maybe, Shake It Off, All About That Bass, Roar.....all of them were Grammy nominated. They're not that different from Cool For The Summer, and are Grammy nomination worthy apparently

I don't have a problem with her wanting to raise awareness and talk about her issues, but while she
continues to do that, I think it would be helpful to both her and fans if she started a blog or something.

She continues to make her "struggles" the whole existence that her career revolves around..... yet, "she doesn't want to be remembered for them"...... She's literally said these things a million times and now it's just becoming cringeworthy and looks mega-gimmicky. The general public does NOT care about her problems, there are other people out there that have had it far worse. She needs to take a page out of the Selena Gomez book and learn how to be an appealing celebrity, because I have a strong feeling her album is gonna majorly flop. Selena Gomez can't sing, can't play an instrument, doesn't write, yet can sell more records because she doesn't come off as a try hard, and I actually used to casually like Demi Lovato up until 2013 when she went on the X Factor and became really REALLY unlikable.
