I am a huge Rihanna stan but unless you've been skull bricked or hit by a Mack truck you can see that this cover is VERY Kanye influenced, and Rihanna as a child on the cover (a painted recreation of her as a child) is not the same as actually having an album photoshoot and her being on the cover. I admire trying something different but this doesn't suit her in my opinion and those of many others.

It's nice you have an opinion of what suits HER. But Rihanna is an artist - and doesn't give a f*ck what your ""opinion"" is.
Did you even READ what the title "ANTI" means in relation to the project?
"Anti - A person opposed to a particular policy, activity or idea. ...By continuing to follow her own instincts, her work strives to make an impact by doing the very antithesis of what the public expects".
If you can't accept her mission statement for this project, than maybe the record and Rihanna as an artist is no longer for you.
Also - IN WHAT WORLD does album artwork have to be a photograph of the artist?? Who made that rule? Did you discover music in 1998? Go back and look at record artwork from practically any era and you'll see tons of painted and conceptual album artwork. Why are you so narrow minded? Also - Teenage Dream was a painting. So bye.
