Not really. I mean everyone knows that Samsung, HTC, Microsoft should really ditch the cheap phones and save them for lessors, since all it does is ruin their image.
$99 Windows/Android phone = I had a Windows/Android phone and it was terrible. I tried and an iPhone and it was so much better. #switch.
I hear this so much, my best friend bought a $200 Samsung phone (I advised her to at least get the Edge) and she hated it. Now she's gone and bought another iPhone and said Android "was clunky and slow" and her general result as a consumer = iPhone better than Samsung.
Whereas had she got the Edge, she would have been indifferent about both (she loved her iPhone but she dropped it out of her moving car

)
In short, I don't think Android is bad, but companies like Samsung, Windows, HTC especially, and Sony all release crap phones for the "entry level market" and haven't learnt it just ruins the brand and more people won't return in the future and will stay with iOS because it's consistent.
It's hilarious to watch them do the same, and then try "premium" next time and people have moved on (an S5 to S6 tea), since the S6 unperformed and Samsung had released a much better product than the S5 which was less than premium.

I mean a cheap Android, and an old iPhone are usually $0 upfront in the US, or share the same phone plan internationally.
A cheap Android wont work as well as a previous iPhone, and the iPhone comes off looking better for the same price point, even though the cheap Android is "new". Cheap and Android do not mix, but most people couldn't tell the difference when upfront, the plans seem the same.
I mean the iPhone 5S is still really good, and $0 for the 16GB model in the US. The same as cheap and poorly built Androids (which include premium brands).
