Beyoncé's best selling songs released this decade, Drunk in Love & BTINH, were nowhere near as big as CIL and IIAWB. Rihanna's released most of her biggest singles in the U.K.

And as I told you before, Crazy in Love & If I Were a Boy would be million sellers had they been released this decade. Look at the table I posted again.

And the X Factor hallelujah cover as well as Adele's Make You Feel My Love (both from 08) crossed the mark.

This is not about total sales! Poker Face sold only 882k in 2009.

Anyway, as you can see, only 23 singles sold over 200k in 2003 vs. 106 in 2010, 115 in 2011, etc.

There literally is no excuse, she doesn't even have a song that's sold over 700K, it's not a matter of being close to the mark.
Again, it is understandable considering CiL wasn't released when singles sales had peaked there (it still sold horribly for such a "big" song).
The truth is, she's always been a bigger celebrity there than an artist. IIWAB should have outsold the Alexander Burke cover at least, but it didn't

I understand the point of accumulative sales (which Bey doesn't have much regardless of the many performances and festivals) but she's just not so very big (in before the O2 arena receipts) as the others were there.

It crossed the mark in mid-2012. It crossed the 800k mark this year, fyi. Yes, it is for now. People from the U.K. are usually shocked when they find out it's her best-selling song there!
