Well one reason why they might do that is because they start to internalize what society thinks about them. Its a sticky topic, but its more complicated than black people acting like thugs just because they choose to do so. Its interesting to see how when you stepped out of the typical stereotype that you are teased for it, it just goes to show how stereotypes have a strong effect on the targeted individuals as well
