But by sending death threats, publicly calling us equally offensive names, and painstakingly trying to disrupt the lives of a few 20-something year olds WHOSE EXISTENCES YOU WERE NOT EVEN AWARE OF UNTIL 5 DAYS AGO, you have effectively brought yourselves down to our level, however horrible you may think we are. This topic is currently trending on Facebook and multiple news sources above THE OREGON SHOOTING and THE FLOOD-RELATED DEATHS IN SOUTH CAROLINA, indicating that many of you clearly are blissfully unable to effectively evaluate your moral priorities.

You found Gerod. And many of you are still trying to find me by digging up old schools, old pictures, etc. A few rhetorical questions, though: What exactly are you seeking by pursuing us so vehemently? Social justice? Tolerance? Many of you have tried to find and publicly harass our friends and family members who had no involvement in any of this.....do you truly believe that you are exercising fairness or justice by doing this? How do you think the rest of America will view social movements such as ‪#‎BlackLivesMatter‬ after this? Do you think they will be regarded as legitimate movements with noble goals or as vengeful coalitions that seek to gain traction through fear? Remember the Danish news company that was attacked by Muslim extremists for publishing a satirical cartoon (in other words, a joke)? Considering the sheer number of death threats we have collectively received within the past week, how far do you think you are from achieving a similar level of extremism?

All this being said, Gerod has publicly apologized and provided evidence that there were additional comments that were most likely omitted from the original screenshots (possibly with the intent to defame him). Despite whatever hatred all of you may feel towards me or any of the other commenters, I sincerely hope that you will leave him alone. As for those of you who continue to falsely label him....seeing as there is no shred of evidence that Gerod ever said anything overtly racist, I have no doubt that he is in an easy place to file charges against anyone who has publicly and explicitly referred to him as racist (thus defaming his character/reputation and committing libel). Whether he chooses to do so is up to him.

People should be careful with what they post on their social media accounts. If you don't like it create a profile not associated with your work identity or simply don't create an account at all. I would fire my employee as well because it embarrasses not only the company but other employees (such as the son of an employee in this case). Why is it so hard for people to be professional? None of these people are teenagers and this simply isn't cute. I am glad their careers are ruined!
