I honestly feel sorry for her (and deep inside that's what she's craving for).

Not sure why this is so hard to believe. Self-harm, drug addiction, and eating disorders are all pretty (unfortunately) common manifestations of low self-esteem, and being bullied would definitely be a contributing factor toward that. Bipolar disorder on its own is pretty deeply intertwined with all of those things as well.

People do entirely too much on her. If the bullying is as bad in real life as it is for her online, you really can't blame her for having problems (not that you should blame people for their mental health problems anyway, but you know).

Some of you guys need to chill. She's trying to do something positive and help others like the shady jokes are so unnecessary

My sister has bipolar disorder (well borderline personality disorder) but its similar. You never get rid of it, you can take pills to keep it under control. It was difficult growing up with her because she lies about everything, is violent, manipulative and experiences highs and lows. I had to lose any form of contact with her because she was toxic to my life, she apologized multiple times and then did the same thing over and over and over again. Anyways demi is brave for sharing this to the world, its not an easy thing and its a serious disease.

this thread is so disgusting and heartless. and proving Demi's point about people needing to be educated about mental health disorders. I feel bad for anyone that has bipolar disorder and is reading this thread of idiocy and ignorance.

how Demi manages fame and her mental health will always be amazing to me. She's doing great work, which you would all realize if you actually bothered to read the articles or watch the videos. It was a wrap for even attempting to talk about this on ATRL after the OP apparently got the title wrong. This whole thread should be closed.

Then in another thread some of those same people are praising another pop girl for talking about their own health problems.
