The battle to host this year’s Oscars might as well be a dance-off — with Justin Timberlake in the lead!
“The executives at ABC are really pushing for Justin,” said an Academy Awards insider. “He’ll be the most difficult to sign, but they’re desperate to get someone who’ll pull in young viewers without freaking out older Academy members.”
The close second choice is funnyman Steve Carell, and the source added that producers “still have Ellen DeGeneres and Steve Martin as fallbacks.”
The job typically pays $2 million for the commitment — “but they’re ready to pay more to get Justin on board!”
