Greeks too had their own religion, and the concept of homosexuality is more of a modern thing. The sex contact between two male was seen as something acceptable, but only in an elitist sphere. And there was Pederasty too, where the master was allowed to have physical contact with his student, and it was seen as a sort of preparation for the young man. But still, this happened only in the aristocratic world.
