The men lived two doors away from each other, and met in the neighbourhood. Along with their significant others, they met for drinks, a barbecue and additional late-night drinks.
An emotional and disturbing 911 recording from the day of Kelloway’s murder was played in court Monday.
Rasberry can be heard telling the operator, “there’s a guy stabbed multiple times by me; oh my God.”
On the recording, Raspberry was heard saying, “he tried to have sex with me…and I f–ing killed him for it.”
The operator repeatedly told Rasberry how to help Kelloway, at one point asking him to make sure his airway was clear. Rasberry is heard saying, “I’m looking in your mouth…I f—ing hate you but…”
Milne said she decided to walk Kelloway’s dog to a nearby park and go to his residence to sleep, as Wasmann had gone home and Mrs. Rasberry had already gone to bed — leaving Nick and Craig alone talking and drinking beer.As she was returning to Kelloway’s home, she saw an ambulance pull up in front of the Rasberry home. When she got there, she was told it was Craig on the stretcher.
“I arrived just in time for Mr. Kelloway to be exiting the house on a stretcher and they loaded him on the ambulance,” Milne said. “Then, Mr. Rasberry was escorted out by police.
“A police officer came over and explained to me, because I was upset the ambulance wasn’t going to the hospital. They told me Craig was deceased.”
Under cross-examination by defence lawyer Hersh Wolch, Milne admitted she had told police that she was an “interim” girlfriend to Kelloway, who was separated from his wife and had a four-month-old son by another woman.
Psycho. You don't KILL someone for trying to have sex with you. You thank them for the compliments and respectfully decline, or if you want to - be rude and get your point across - without physical violence.
"He tried to rape me...he tried to have sex with me and I f----ng killed him for it."
And the victim's girlfriend testified:
Quote:
Kelloway's then-girlfriend Lindsay Milne, though her boyfriend was inebriated.
Milne admitted Kelloway hadn't been forthcoming about a relationship he'd had that produced a son five months before.
Prodded by defence counsel Hersh Wolch she also said Kelloway didn't like kissing her "but I would not generalize he didn't like women. He was in contact with his ex-wife so that's more likely what was going on."
If a woman killed a guy trying to rape her, you all would be siding with her. It's sad that Kelloway died but if he tried to rape Raspberry then it's clearly a case of self-defense.

Yes Rasperry looks so small and minute and easy to rape

He obviously should have acted in a less violent way. The fact that they both drank booze probably didn't help. Although killing someone trying to rape can be considered excessive, it certainly doesn't justify years of jail.
If he's telling the truth about the guy trying to rape him then I understand him panicking but you don't have to stab him DEAD. Just slice him up a bit. I guess in moments like that you're not really thinking clearly though, especially when you're drunk.
Yall gays are so predictable and hypocritical. If it happens to a woman, yall would be siding with her.
This hive mentality of "oh he should've thanked him or he should've done something less violently" to protect your fellow gay men who were in the wrong.
