Also, if you live with an expensive lifestyle, you need to have continually large amounts of income to support it.

If they worked hard for their money then they deserve to spend it as they wish, whether we all like it or not.
Plus the richer you are, the higher your cost of living is.

Simple things like high school tuition for your kids goes from 8K a year to 80K per year bc you go for more elite schools, your taxable assets are much much more, maintenance for your huge mansion runs up thousands of dollars, you need a dozen nannies for your kids bc you're out there making money, you need to buy a $10M dollar house in a heavily guarded gated community bc your wealth makes you an obvious target. etc.etc.

No amount of money is ever 'enough' bc expenses simply go up along with you.
