Conservatives: 'Party of Labour'
Quote:
Among key conference developments:
-Plans to sell shares worth £2bn in Lloyds Bank were announced by the chancellor. The shares will be sold to private investors next spring.
-The business rates shake-up was, Mr Osborne said, "the biggest transfer of power to local government in living memory"
-89 local authority pension funds in England and Wales are to be combined into six regional funds to encourage them to invest in major infrastructure projects
-There will be infrastructure investment of £5bn funded by asset sales with an airport expansion decision by Christmas
-Health Secretary Jeremy Hunt says the government is right to press ahead with cuts to tax credits, saying they send a "cultural signal" the UK must become as hard working as China

11,334,576 people disagree.
And if you read the article:
Quote:
Mr Osborne said while he had grown up in London, he had been "changed" by representing a constituency near Manchester and convinced of the need to increase investment in the North of England.
|
And the bitch does not shut up about the 'Powerhouse North', who he's been going on about for literally years, and he brought up several times in his speech, but slay I guess.

Well, there are voting numbers which are out there, and then there's stuff which is literally in his speech, which you clearly didn't watch, and a mantra he's become known for not shutting up about, it's not exactly rocket science, despite what some people, ie you, seem to believe!

This northern powerhouse ******** is nothing but election rhetoric, the tories will never care about the north and its exactly why they are never elected here. The actual northern powerhouse was just mothballed without any help from the government, after years of neglect of the north and in particular the north east; you cannot expect anyone up here to ever trust them.

Exactly.
I'm gonna presume Diarrhoea is either privileged or uneducated because anyone with an extremely basic understanding of UK politics knows the Tories don't help anyone but the rich.

Incredibly, and I'm thankful for it everyday, it makes my life a lot easier.
And yet again, 11,334,576 people disagreed, see you in five years time.

If it's empty rhetoric I assume that's why government economists/think-tanks are currently devising up a plan? Manchester will have their own mayor in 2017 is just one example. Why would Gideon continue the conversation even after the election then? The conservatives are offering an olive branch, mancunians are throwing eggs at innocent bystanders, they are not at fault here. Manchester displayed appalling and disgustingly primitive behaviour at today's rally, spitting at people I mean who does that?

I'm from a working class family and my parents together earn less than the national average but i recognise that the conservatives do not just look out for the rich; they look out for the grafters of this country. I'm working my socks off at school to go to a top university and when I get a job that pays well I wouldn't want lazy, uneducated people leeching off my tax pays. Corbyn is also a deluded old man and anyone who backs him is delusional and too idealistic. Can't wait for his resignation in 2 years time.

it's very sad that considering conservatives landed a majority and yet hardly anyone I know identifies themselves as such. it baffles me how they can get so much support. you'd really need to convince me otherwise that tory's look out for no one but themselves.

You can't hand children a poor education and then expect them to do well in life.
The amount of benefit 'scroungers' is totally exaggerated. You do realize the biggest benefit scroungers in this country are the royal family?
The people damaging this country are not the poor, it's the rich. The kind of people who make up the Conservative party.

The comment about the Chinese is SO stupid.
China has one of the highest suicide rates in the world. We really shouldn't be aspiring to be like them.

It wouldn't be a 'kii' if that boy were to have an allergic reaction.

'Poor education' if you want to understand poor education visit the slumbers of Tanzania - the kids there get ecstatic at the thought of having their own pen. I'm a resident of this 'poor education' system yet I got all A* and A's at GCSE and AAB at AS level, I am not an intellect I just work bloody hard and the people who don't achieve the results I do tend to be those who are more concerned with partying and other forms of hedonism.
The problem here isn't the education system, it's the laziness Britain has fostered. What conservatives are doing is kicking Britain up the backside to tell them that life isn't easy, we can't have everything handed to us on a silver platter, you have to graft and appreciate what we already have. And obviously it's working considering the healthy economic growth we've been having.
You do also know the royal family bring in one of the highest national revenue through tourism right? We are never getting rid of our Queen if that's what you're implying.
