My high school offered dual-enrollment, so I took classes at my high school (most of them were AP classes) and paid the local community college for them and then got college credit for them so long as I got a C or better in the class. I ended up graduating high school with over 60 college credits.
My school only offers AP classes. Freshmen can only take AP Human Geography. I took it and got a 3. Sophomores can take AP Chemistry and AP World History, but since I came from a private school I didn't match the prerequisites for AP Chemistry so I only took AP World History (but I ended up getting a 5 ). Right now I'm taking AP Chemistry, AP English Language and Composition, AP U.S. History, and AP Psychology. I don't know how much AP classes I'm going to take senior year, I'm going to take at least four. Juniors and seniors can take practically any AP class they want (aside from Economics and Literature, which are offered to seniors), as long as it's offered by the school.
I wish I got to take IB classes though, they seem interesting.
Canada (or at least Quebec) doesn't have AP but technically my high school offered advanced courses compared to other high schools, so technically I did that.
my school only gave IB classes to those who got an average of 80 and higher. I was in IB for ALL my years of school except for the most important year which was grade 12. so I went through hell keeping my average high but stupid old me went through a rebel phase and had to score a ****** high 60's lower 70's average on my final year of high school. END ME
I'm currently taking AP Calculus BC and AP Biology (took AP Chemistry last year), and am planning to take 2-3 more APs next year. Our school only has 4 periods, so I can't take 4-5 APs per year, but that's probably for the better.
AP classes only. I'm taking 5 right now. I took 4 last year and thought it was fine, but now AP Biology takes up literally half my life. I'm dyinggggg.

I liked AP Bio. Though I took regular bio the previous year so it wasn't hard.
