It's one thing to not have a certain actor/actress in one season, but the return of Mary Eunice was much anticipated and brought into the story of Freak Show as the episode was all about Pepper. It would've made no sense to let Lily play another role (that may possibly belong to the main cast) when Mary Eunice was a key figure in 'Orphans'. |

Emma Roberts started as a teen actress and is def more known for her acting than for w/e music she did in the past.
I still don't understand why or how you got the idea that she needs a break from AHS but ok

They could've easily rewritten it. They came up with that episode later, anyway.
Also not everything is about AHS. When Lily, Franes or Jessica are able to decline a role (in AHS) and rather want to try something else, they can do that and that's not Gagas or Emma Roberts fault. In the end of the day being an actress is a job and as much as fans want to see their faves in their fav show, the actors may think otherwise.
