You can't really hear the ''lace''
I know the actual lyric but I can't help but hear this all the time.

The only wrong lyrics I've been singing all this time is "The lights and boys are blinding."
I caught the rest of the wrong lyrics correctly in my ears, oddly, and just realised how they can sound different now.

There's a 'to' shoved in before that according to the lyrics in the booklet.
"This mad, mad love makes you come running... to stand back where you stood"
Oh, it's "to"? I always thought she said, "just stand back where you stood."
And I
always
hear "lights and boys."
