Its basicaly how the rich kids find the other rich kids. More power to them.

They were nice to me. I would dress in drag and go to frat parties and they were generally cool with me. As long as you are nice person they accept you. Nothing like the stereotypes you see in movies and TV.

Bonded with a bunch of people I never would have met otherwise, a lot of true lasting friendships, learned a whole lot of history, ended up on the exec board as the Community Service chair, my grades actually improved I never lived in the house, but I found myself there a lot, was a lot of fun.
The key is you have to make sure you're in a place/rushing a house where you can really see yourself. The instant you have to pretend to be someone you're not, it's not worth it.

frats are rape clubs

An exclusive club specifically for racist rich white kids. Also frats have a sexist/rape culture problem. Don't like them at all sorry if you're in one and are offended. They should either be ended all together or changed

I have friends who're a part of it and love it, and it seems great. I most love the people I know who don't care about tiers, but tbh I would only ever join one if it was like at least upper-mid. Looking back, I should've rushed but I'm also okay with it because it's a huge time commitment, and I think my grades would've suffered tbh.

But then there are also multicultural fraternities and sororities lIke the Divine 9 groups which do a lot of service and community outreach. Not all groups are the same.

I'm vaguely interested, but not really committed to joining one. At least as of now

If frat members are hot, I will love to join.

It's great for networking + it gives you a legs-up when you're a freshman and you're new to the whole social scene.
And you meet tons of great people. It's always good to be active in something
