It's fairly common for English people to pronounce it 'chews-day', because of our accent - we tend to pronounce both the 't' and the 'u' (as 'yew' rather than 'oo')

Toosday is the California way. Tyusday/Tewsday/Chewsday is like saying pop instead of soda

I say "Chewsday" and "soda". Well not even "soda" but "soft drink". Never heard anyone local call it "pop".
