but I guarantee in 5-10 years, when the new generation of pop girls arrive, Katy's impact will be highly visible.
People are already emulating her in many ways, but no one's doing the full-out bright, sugary, youthful imagery thing quite yet. That's because she's still current and she isn't really considered "cool" by anyone right now. But everything about her is mega-successful and ubiquitous and therefore will be remembered and emulated in the future when her time is done.
Her imagery and work as an artist will go down in pop history and resonate very fully in later generations.
