Tech: Do you need an iPad if you have an iPhone & MacBook?

I ask this because I just completely destroyed my iPad screen, and with how much it costs to have it repaired I may as well buy a new one. And I'm not sure if it's worth it. I didn't really buy the one I had, it just came "free" from my college. So it's something I've gotten used to having around for the last 3 years, even though I've never really used it much. It might be convenient for something, though...

But this thread isn't just about me in particular. In general, do you think it's worth it to have an iPad if you have an iPhone and a MacBook (or some other laptop)?

No, you don't need anything but food and water really. But, an iPad is very convenient. In before the Androids come in shouting "get this samsung tablet cause it gets all the features before applez xD !1!!".

I really wanted an iPad even though I already had an iPhone and Macbook, but honestly, I never used it.

They seem like something really cool to have and it's nice, but after 2 weeks I never used it again. When I'm out I use my iPhone, when I'm at home I use my Macbook. It's just convenient.

I don't have all three (iMac instead of a MacBook) but really it's personal choice.

I got an iPad mini because it was easier to carry around than my old laptop and it was better for stuff like Netflix than my phone. I use it mostly when i'm at someone else's house/on holiday/in the car.

See, I can understand why you'd have an iPad if you only have a desktop. Especially since the iPad Pro is coming out soon.

iPads are kind of convenient, I guess. It certainly never hurts to have extra technology laying around. I just don't know if I can justify the $300-400+ price when I have an iPhone (an iPad is basically just a big iPhone) and I have a larger portable device in my MacBook.

I guess I'm answering my own question. I think I know the answer, but I'm just trying to convince myself that I'm making the right decision, because I am tempted to get another iPad...

Yes.
The bigger screen is more convenient for things such as reading, playing games, web browsing, ect.
I have all three and wouldn't live without them tbh!!

I have an iPad and I honestly don't know when was the last time I used it. When I'm out I use iPhone and when at home I use my PC. iPad is convenient only when you go on a vacation or something and you want to carry your movies or whatever. It really is just a big iPhone.

Not really. I have an iPad and an iPhone 5s, not planning on switching soon, and I can't name a single thing an iPad can do that an iPhone can't, but that's just me.

I'm just really upset because I finally upgraded it to iOS 9 today and the News app is so beautiful and really convenient to read on there.

Now I'm reduced to my phone since Apple doesn't have it on the web.

I have all 3. I use my iPad 10x more than my iPhone, and like 20x more than my Mac. That's just me tho.

I have all three and my iPad Air is just collecting dust. I use it sometimes for school work though
