Icon in like early naughties cuz what other other latina was out there slaying both the music and movie business. Hell what other female period.

The green dress or "Jenny From the Block" made her an icon. I was a big music fan at the time and didn't even hear about the Versace dress in 2001...yet found out about it in 2012 when someone else mentioned it. It left a big impact for her image.

I wouldn't say she's a legend, though.

with J-Lo I feel like she is an Icon on the verge of legendhood. I feel like had she had 1 more strong era we could of easily dubbed her a legend. but she has had huge pop culture moments. she was the IT girl in terms of fame, music and fashion from like 2000 to 2004 ish.

JLo is an icon but not a legend. She's never done anything legendary
