Grey's Anatomy" and "Scandal" creator Shonda Rhimes has dropped a whopping 117 pounds -- and now, she's revealing the secret behind her slimdown.
"I just decided I was gonna get it together and get healthy," she told EXTRA at ABC's TGIT Line-up celebration over the weekend. "I have some little kids and I want to be around for them."
"Once I decided it wasn't gonna be fun, like, I lowered my expectations; it got kind of easier," she added.
The 45-year-old star changed up her eating and exercise habits and the pounds started to fall off. "I changed everything I ate -- and I hated all of that -- and then I hate exercising and I did that, too. I hated it the whole time."
Now that she's gotten used to healthy options, Rhimes doesn't crave the junk food she used to love. "I try to make it much less and smaller portions, but you change what your palate wants. I'm suddenly craving fish and salad."
I love how articles always treat weight loss like a "what's your secret?" kind of thing - it's obvious what has to be done: eat healthier and exercise.
Congrats to Shonda, though. She's really slaying right now.
Now tv afficionados will stop shading her with it
I remember when she got dragged by some Little Monsters on twitter after the Oscars, the comments were truly disgusting
